Career Assistance After a Work Injury

If you have a partial disability you are required to attach to the labor market. If you are unable to return to your previous job, the NY Department of Labor provides free career services through local Career Centers. These include job placement support, resume writing help, and vocational training.

A Section 32 agreement allows you to settle part or all of your claim for a lump-sum payment. These agreements must be approved by the Workers’ Compensation Board and include watching an educational video.
